The Variegated Ficus Altissima (aka Council Tree) is one of our favorite plants...and for good reason. It's super easy to care for, absolutely gorgeous AND it is super versatile and can fit in most living situations.
Care: Tropical Ficus trees grow happily in a pot or in-ground. To help establish your new Asian Council Tree, fertilize sparingly ten inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time released product. Unfertilized they will tend to grow at a slower pace.
Tip: The looser the roots, the taller and healthier your tree will be. When the tree becomes root bound its growth will slow, at that point it is time for a larger pot.
