Tlapazola mugs are handmade by a Women's collective from San Marcos Tlapazola in Oaxaca, Mexico. The mugs are made with 100% red clay, which is collected from the local mines in Tlapazola. These mugs have a unique red texture, perfect for your gourmet food. Food safe, 100% lead-free, 100% toxic-free.

Mugs hold hot/cold drinks. Don’t soak in water for more than 24 hours, mug will start to mineralize if left in water for long periods of time. If using for hot water or cooking, please cure with hot water or other curing methods found online. Hand wash only, do not use in dishwasher, do not microwave.

Gold specks on ceramics are not considered defects, this gold speck is called Maika, a natural mineral found in the clay derived from volcanic ash. There may be small details on the ceramics due to natural clay and burning, these aren’t defects.
